Snow showers are expected today bringing a magical winter wonderland to our surroundings. The snow could fall heavily at times creating a soft white blanket over everything. With temperatures staying steady around 22 degrees it will feel quite chilly outside. A west-southwest wind will blow gently but it might gust strongly at times reaching up to 29 mph. There is a 90% chance of snow and we could see between 4 to 8 inches accumulating during the day making it a perfect day to ski, snowboard, nordic ski, or snowshoe! Groomed snow is a special type of snow that combines hardpack and packed powder. This mixture is often found in places that see a lot of wind or heavy use by skiers. In off-piste areas the snow is different; it includes skier-packed powder mixed with frozen granular snow. When entering these off-piste areas it is important to be careful and watch for scoured spots. These areas can be tricky and may require extra attention to navigate safely.

Today the weather is set to bring a good amount of snow especially before 10 a. m. As the morning progresses snow showers will continue making the ground white and fluffy. The temperature will be around 33 degrees so it will feel chilly outside. A brisk west wind will blow at 11 to 16 mph with even stronger gusts reaching up to 29 mph.
