April 6th Weather Update

Today there is a good chance of showers especially after 4 PM. The snow level will start at 7 300 feet and will rise to 7 900 feet later in the afternoon. The weather will be partly sunny with a high temperature close to 48 degrees. A west wind will blow at about 6 miles per hour. The chance of precipitation is 60% and we might see new rainfall amounts between one-tenth and a quarter of an inch.

Mt. Hood Meadows – ” Skies are overcast but the temps are staying in the high 30s (for now). Definitely feeling like mixed precip is still possible. “

    Today there is a 50 percent chance of snow showers which means we might see some light snow during the day. The sky will be partly sunny and temperatures will reach a high of around 29 degrees Fahrenheit. It will be breezy with west winds blowing at 18 to 21 miles per hour and gusts could reach as high as 37 miles per hour.     Get ready for tough and icy conditions this morning but don’t worry! As the day goes on the snow will become softer and more fun to carve and ride on. “It’s a bit cold up here at the start of the day so make sure to dress warmly!” There’s an inversion happening which means the temperatures will change based on where you are. By this afternoon temperatures are expected to climb significantly and reach the mid to upper 30s which will help melt the snow. Mt.
