Mt. Hood Meadows- “5:30 AM: Our spring butterfly that’s been taking shape the past couple of days takes full flight today with sunny skies and temps that will definitely remind you of what season it is. Expect temps to max out in the low 50’s down at the base with a freezing level pushing up near 10k. Winds will be a non-factor today. Bring plenty of sun screen and your springiest ski attire. While the temperature has already climbed near freezing down at the base, expect firm conditions early due to the effects of radiational cooling, but the softening of the snow will quickly become apparent and a full on spring corn alert will be present by late morning. By this afternoon the mountain should be yours to explore and find lines you wouldn’t dare try if there wasn’t a bed of corn waiting for you to carve up. We expect to have a busy April day up here so come on up with patience and anticipate a fantastic day on the slopes! We’ll see you up here from 9 AM to 4 PM. “
