Looks like we start off mild this weekend with a little rain Saturday night (about a third of an inch), then temps drop and we’ll see some light snow—heaviest Saturday night. Expect a classic freeze-thaw situation: highs around 46°F Saturday afternoon, dipping down to 27°F Sunday morning. Winds should calm down too, going from gusty westerlies Sunday morning

Today is a bright and sunny day perfect for outdoor activities. The temperature is expected to reach around 31 degrees making it warm enough to enjoy the sunshine. A gentle north-northeast wind is blowing at 7 to 9 miles per hour bringing a refreshing feel to the air. Occasionally the wind may gust up to 20 miles per hour adding a bit of excitement to the day. It’s a great time to grab a friend head outside and soak up the beautiful weather! Today the snow conditions on the slopes offer a mix of textures for skiers and snowboarders. The groomed areas are mostly made up of frozen granular snow which feels firm underfoot but has a light layer of loose snow on top. This makes it a bit easier to glide along while still providing good control. In contrast the off-piste areas have a hard icy base that can be challenging especially with moguls that vary in size depending on where you are on the mountain. Overall it’s a day that will test your skills and provide a thrilling ride! Come on into Meadowlark Ski & Sports for ski rentals, snowboard rentals, snowshoe rentals, nordic ski rentals,…
