March 27th Weather

Today we can expect significant snow showers throughout the day with the possibility of heavy snowfall at times. The temperature will be around 31 degrees Fahrenheit making it a chilly day. Winds will be strong from the southwest ranging from 15 to 25 miles per hour with gusts that could reach up to 43 miles per hour. There is a 100% chance of precipitation so it is essential to prepare for winter weather. Overall we could see a total daytime snow accumulation of 3 to 7 inches possible.

Mt. HoodMeadows- ” 5:25 AM:  Lowering freezing levels today along with continued snow showers should serve to improve the snow conditions.  It’s going to feel like winter out there with a strong SW wind that will definitely be felt on exposed ridges. Temps max out in the low to mid 30’s, and will be dropping.  This is storm skiing, Wy’east style, winter style .. be sure to dress for it.  This is good news as it should bring Heather canyon and the Private Reserve back into play with significantly improved conditions.  Expect snowing and blowing with a couple fresh inches overnight and a few more inches to come today.  Enjoy the return to winter. We’ll see you on the slopes! “
