weather update

Fresh flakes are falling on Mt. Hood and conditions are gradually improving as new snow builds on top of the groomed runs. At Meadows, expect a mix of hardpack and packed powder with granular snow in high-traffic zones, while fresh snowfall continues to accumulate through the morning. Off-piste terrain is still variable with skier-packed snow and moguls, and coverage remains shallow in spots—meaning hidden obstacles and hazards are still a concern if you venture off the groom. Timberline is reporting temps in the teens with light winds and a couple inches of new snow overnight, setting up a classic cold winter day with steadily refreshing surfaces as snowfall continues.

Today is a great day to get out and enjoy Mt. Hood, but be prepared for changing conditions and keep your eyes open for low-coverage areas. If you’re heading up the mountain, stop by Meadowlark Ski & Sports in Sandy, Oregon for fast and convenient ski and snowboard rentals, demo gear, helmets, and accessories. We’re located right on the way to Meadows, Timberline, and Skibowl, making it easy to grab properly fitted gear without waiting in long resort lines. Our knowledgeable team will get you dialed so you can focus on enjoying the fresh snow, packed powder groomers, and everything Mt. Hood has to offer today.
